We’re forever trying new additions or combinations in our smoothies. Our beloved Blendtec seems to handle even the toughest ingredients with ease, so why not? We’ve been doing some juicing lately so after seeing some fresh parsley at the grocery store, the thought occurred to us to throw some of that into the mix. Parsley is known for its cleansing benefits. It’s also loaded with Vitamins A, K, and C and brimming with antioxidants. Considering the fact that it’s cold and flu season, parsley is just what our immune systems need. We tossed some into the blender with a few other ingredients and drank our veggies. You could definitely taste the parsley, but it wasn’t off-putting. If you like a sweeter juice, you could add some stevia or raw honey to your concoction.
1 c. baby kale
1/2 c. frozen raspberries
1 small granny smith apple
1 c. water
1 handful of parsley (go light on it at first, you can always add more later)
a few ice cubes
Blend everything together and there you have it!
