White Wine Sangria

  • Author: Jordan Cord
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Made with the freshest cherries and blueberries and crisp white wine, this sangria is perfect for drinking on hot summer days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, halved and pitted
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • juice of 1 orange
  • 1/4 cup white rum (Mount Gay)
  • 1750mL bottle of chilled white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio work well)
  • mint for garnish
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries and cherries in a small bowl. Add rum, lemon juice, and orange juice. Smash the fruit gently using the back of a spoon.
  2. If you have the time, refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes. This softens the fruit and releases their juices, incorporating the flavors with the rum.
  3. Add 2 cups of ice to a large pitcher, then add the fruit mixture, and pour wine into the pitcher.
