Sweet-tart and juicy fall apples are topped with the perfect crisp topping in this easy-to-make dessert.

Crisp Topping
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Filling
- 3 granny smith apples [diced]
- 2 Tablespoons coconut sugar
- 1-1/2 Tablespoons tapioca flour
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1-1/2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350º.
- Mix the filling ingredients (minus the apple) together in a large bowl. Stir until combined.
- Add the apples in and coat them in the mixture. Allow the apple to soak for 5-10 minutes stirring occasionally.
- In the mean time, mix together all of the topping ingredients in a large bowl.
- Spray or grease an 8" cast iron skillet.
- Pour in the filling. Add the crumble topping on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the apples are soft. Enjoy!
