**This is not a sponsored post. Bella Cucina did not compensate The Fitchen in any way. I'm just a super-fan of their amazingly effective rocket blender and I want you all to know about this hidden gem of a kitchen gadget.**
You may remember me mentioning that we work at a bowling alley in addition to blogging. If not, now you know – my parents have owned it since I was 6, I've worked there since I was old enough, and Clark has worked there since he was 16.
There are fun aspects to working at a bowling alley and there are not-so-fun aspects – like dealing with a cranky patron or getting your finger snapped in two. A fun one, though, is bartending. I'm talking, full blown, Tom Cruise in Cocktail bartending – that's what we do on a nightly basis. Ok. Maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but not by much. If you don't believe me, I'll be serving up cocktails all night long – try me.
When you're bartending, even if it's just at home, you need a reliable and effective blender. (Not everyone drinks Moscow Mules and Manhattans, you know.) What you don't need is a joke of a blender that detaches from the pitcher instead of the base and releases a literal mudslide of the frozen mudslide you just spent 5 minutes concocting. Nope. No sir. That is what we call alcohol abuse. And it resulted in said blender finding its way to the landfill and this blender being purchased via Amazon immediately.
Those sad, frustrating days are in the past and I've since redeemed myself. Plenty a daiquiri and piña colada have been smoothly poured and enjoyed in the week since this bad boy arrived. I knew I was making a solid purchase when I clicked "Buy Now" because I owned the same blender in college. I had it for 4 years and handed it down to my brother when he went to school, only because we had gotten a Blendtec for our from Clark's parents. While I adore my Blendtec, the Bella Cucina will always have a special place in my heart and in our kitchen.
It is effective and versatile – it can handle frozen berries, bananas, mango with ease, while also blending greens to smooth perfection. It can grind coffee beans for a fresh morning cup. It can pulverize nuts into a pesto. It can puree a soup or a dip. It doubles as a cup when you screw on the plastic rim after blending, which means one less dirty cup.
It is easy to clean – just rinse the cup with soap and water and carefully clean the blades. Every few uses, I recommend removing the rubber ring around the blades to clean underneath – also easy to do.
It is affordable – really affordable. It's available on Amazon for under $25. Considering I got 4 years of use out of mine and my brother used it for an addition 2 years, I'd say it's well worth the 25 bucks.
1. Healthy Blueberry Banana Smoothie
2. Easy Blender Pesto
3. Chipotle Hummus
4. Creamy Cauliflower Sauce
5. Easy Homemade Piña Colada
There you have it – 5 easy ways to use a rocket blender. And more importantly, you're all acquainted with my favorite brand. Nope, you don't need to spend $90 on a Ninja or a Magic Bullet. Just $22 bucks will get the job done. 👍👍👍
